The Challenge
Grant Rushmere's biggest problem wasn't building the product; it was getting people to actually see it. His company was weeks away from launch with product-market fit locked in, early customer validation already happening, and a Product Hunt campaign scheduled for Thursday morning. The one thing he didn't have was a website.
Not a good one, anyway. He'd cobbled together a generic Webflow template with rushed copy and zero personality, which meant it didn't reflect what the brand was actually about: bringing human connection back to remote work and remote teams.
Grant was direct about it: "We're launching in two days. I know most people won't even visit the site, but the ones who do, the early adopters, the people who actually care, they need to see us. They need to understand what we're building."
So the constraint was brutal: 24 hours until the Product Hunt launch, 48 hours until the site needed to be live and converting. There was no time for weeks of back-and-forth design iterations, no time for long email chains debating direction, no time for compromise or shortcuts.
What he needed was speed without sacrificing the premium quality his product actually deserved. He needed a site that felt like his brand, human, intentional, beautiful, calm.
Our Approach
The kickoff call with Grant was crisp and focused. 30 minutes. We asked the right questions:
What does a founder feel when they land on your site? (Calm. Understood. Hopeful.)
What should they do? (Sign up free. Try it.)
What's the one thing they need to know about Shift? (Remote work doesn't have to feel isolating.)
Grant shared his brand direction, clean, minimal, modern. Teal as the accent color (calm, trustworthy). Plenty of whitespace. Human language, no corporate jargon.
We told him we'd have a preview by evening.
Design Direction
We went minimal but intentional. White background. Deep gray text. Teal accents only where they matter, CTAs and highlights. The visual hierarchy was ruthless: one message per section. No noise.
Every element earned its place. Every animation was purposeful. Every word counted.
Smooth scroll reveals (sections fade in, subtle lift)
Micro-interactions on buttons (slight scale on hover, smooth color transition)
Mobile-perfect (tested and refined for every device)
Performance optimized (loaded in under 2 seconds)
Conversion focused (CTAs visible, paths clear, no friction)
Key Features
We built:
A hero that hit the emotional core (Your team's wellness, finally simplified)
Three problem cards (Isolation, messy tools, connection taking work)
Three solution cards (Daily check-ins, wellness calendar, smart insights)
Social proof (stats showing 98% participation, time savings, adoption)
A single testimonial (authentic, specific, real result)
Pricing (clean, transparent, no tricks)
One final CTA (Get Started Free)
The Results
Wednesday evening: we sent Grant a preview. He spent 30 minutes reviewing, gave minimal feedback (a few word tweaks, one small layout adjustment). He was sold.
Thursday, 9 AM: Shift's site went live. Same day as their Product Hunt launch.
The numbers tell the story:
In Week 1:
500+ signups (from 0)
28% clicked through to pricing
42% came back within 24 hours
Site performed flawlessly (zero downtime, zero issues)
In Month 1:
2,400+ signups total
Site was featured in Product Hunt's top 10
Press picked it up (multiple tech publications mentioned the site design)
What Changed
Before: generic landing page, low confidence, unclear positioning After: premium site that converts, founder confidence, clear value prop
The speed didn't matter. The quality did. And the combination of speed + quality, proved Meridian's promise.
Alex didn't have weeks to iterate. He had 22 hours to represent his company's soul. We delivered exactly that.
